Sonya Maher, L.O., a Licensed Optician, will be there for you every step of the way. She will work with you to discover any unique needs or requirements you may have. Sonya will assist you in selecting frames, lenses and lens treatments that will meet your needs. Sonya will also ensure that when you leave the office, you will leave loving your new eyeglasses and with a complete understanding of the proper care and maintenance of your eyewear.

Being in love with trends and fashion her whole life, Sonya has applied this passion to her career in the optical industry. She has become known in the community as having a flare for selecting glasses for patients that truly reflect their personalities. Fascinated with helping people achieve their optical style, she trained with nationally recognized organizations and optical vendors. This training also helped her become a licensed optician.

Sonya was motivated by the patients she has helped throughout her career to open her own optical store. She first started her career in optics at Lenscrafters and also worked for many years at Total Vision Eye Care of Glastonbury. Sonya offers patients a unique experience at eyeTrade Optical Shop. She has created an environment at eyeTrade Optical Shop where patients can relax and enjoy the experience of selecting glasses that meet their eye care and fashion needs.

When Sonya is not helping people, she is spending time with her family and friends enjoying life. She can be spotted throughout Connecticut bass fishing or at a local car show with her Dodge Challenger SRT8 hotrod.
